i started blogging in the spring of 2005 during a break up. i don’t dare dredge up the pieces i wrote for that site. they were personal in an “it’s impossible not to cringe sort of way” and juvenile in a “your not loving me will be the end of me (even though i don’t want to be with you anymore) way.” so flyturtlefly (the boundaries between introversion and extroversion, introspection and outward living) begins in late 2006 with a sparse sprinkling of pieces because 1. i do not always write (here) often and 2. i delete a lot of my pieces. tsk tsk i know. blame it on the turtle part of me.

i love new email pals. feel free to contact me at lissabliss3 (at) gmail (dot) com. - come away with me. we can paint our dreams in bright yellow and purple hues and string them together with band aids and the little bits of love we can muster from our rusty parts. we can fly away on them and never look back. -- lissa

- "Through practice, I've come to see that the deepest source of my misery is not wanting things to be the way they are. Not wanting my self to be the way I am. Not wanting the world to be the way it is. Not wanting others to be the way they are. Whenever I'm suffering, I find this war with reality to be at the heart of my problem." -- Stephen Cope.

- "Barefoot,
I drum up and down your back.
In the morning I run from door to door
of the cabin playing chase me.
Now you grab me by the ankles.
Now you work your way up the legs
and come to pierce me at my hunger mark"
